Course Title: Woodworking basics
Material Level: Introductory
Age Range: 12-18
Class Description: Create with wood! Over the 8 weeks of this course, learners will be introduced to a wide range of woodworking tools, from various types of saws to drills and joinery tools. By the end of the program, students will cut, fasten, sand, and stain their own wooden toolbox that is theirs to keep at the end of the class.
Class Objective: Identify and correctly use various hand tools. Understand safety in the workshop. Build a small toolbox.
Location: Made New Makerspace, 5366 F Street
Dates: Tuesdays at 1pm, March 8 – April 26
Classroom: The Loft
Cost: $65 Tuition, $30 Materials
