Course Title: Sew awesome: the power of sewing
Material Level: Introductory
Age Range: 12-18
Class Description: Learn to sew like a pro! Sewing is a skill that everyone can benefit from, and in this course, learners will discover the power of sewing machines and the other equipment used in the craft such as sergers and longarm quilters. During the course, learners will complete some basic sewing projects that will build their skills and prepare them to do even more with sewing in the future.
Class Objective: Operate a sewing machine, serger, longarm quilter, and other basic sewing tools. Understand the basic operation and maintenance of a sewing machine.
Location: Made New Makerspace, 5366 F Street
Dates: Wednesdays at 10am, March 9 – April 27
Classroom: The Office
Cost: $65 Tuition, $25 Materials
